Social Enterprise 2025-26 Workshop Series
The Pond-Deshpande Centre at the University of New Brunswick is delivering a Social Enterprise Workshop Series in partnership with Regional Service Commissions across New Brunswick. This initiative is designed to strengthen the capacity of community organizations to explore and develop social enterprise models that generate sustainable revenue while advancing social and environmental impact.
The series includes two complementary workshops. The first is delivered directly to Regional Service Commission staff, equipping them with the tools and frameworks needed to support organizations in their regions. The second workshop is designed for non-profits, charities, and community organizations, providing practical guidance on how social enterprise can help diversify funding, strengthen programs, and increase long-term sustainability.
Participants will be introduced to practical tools, real-world examples, and key considerations such as identifying enterprise opportunities, assessing organizational readiness, and aligning revenue generation with mission. Social enterprises apply business strategies to create financial sustainability while reinvesting profits to advance social impact.
The workshops are supported by the Pond-Deshpande Centre’s Social Enterprise Toolkit, a practical guide developed to help organizations explore, design, and launch social enterprise initiatives. The toolkit provides step-by-step resources, templates, and frameworks to support organizations at different stages of their journey. (The Pond-Deshpande Centre)
